I am happy to announce the fourth edition of the Personal Efficiency Program book is released now. I am excited about this edition because it both takes up current issues like information overload, too much e-mail and wasteful meetings, and focuses on how managers can successfully facilitate improvements in their departments.

As you probably know, PEP® derived from my use of Management by Walk About. I learned early on that managing from the desk produces mixed results at best. I could do much more for my department by being out and about the office and facilitating continuous improvement of how they get the work done. I soon 'discovered' most people were poorly organized, making their lives much more difficult then they had to be. Of course, this resulted in PEP® - a wonderful service to get people more efficient and effective.
Whereas, it is not too difficult to get managers to see the value of PEP®, I have not had the same success getting them to see the value of coaching their own people. The new edition of the book provides strong arguments for why managers must rethink their management methods and solid advice on how to do this.
You will see it soon. I look forward to your feedback on it!
Warm regards, Kerry
